We are coming into the time of year when the strawberries are so good and we can’t seem to get enough of them…and then you buy too many and beg everyone to eat them before they go bad! Well, here is a good way to use up those strawberries…but once you make this once, you may buy your berries and push people AWAY from them until you make this first! It is sweet, healthy and has no added fat!
Strawberry Mango Salsa with Pita Chips
1 lb. strawberries, cleaned, stemmed, diced
1 mango, peeled and diced
1 Tbs. honey
1 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
1 Tbs fresh basil
1 tsp lime zest
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp ground ginger
Combine and let sit together at least 30-60 minutes at room temperature before serving. Serve with pita chips.
What do I love about this recipe? Come on! Strawberries, mangoes, lime??? All that YUM in each bite? What is NOT to love!!!???
What don’t I love about this recipe? Nothing…it is so good and such a great alternative to tomato salsa!
